    Trojans of the Week

    6th Grade

Mrs. Lay would like to nominate Talia for her Trojan of the Week. Talia is very helpful to other students and is very
conscientious about her work. She comes to class prepared and brings a smile that brightens our day. We appreciate your hard work and your efforts to do your best every day. Way to go, Talia!

    7th Grade

Team 7C has selected a student that displays and embodies the true essence of what it means to be a Dyersburg Middle School Trojan. This student pays attention to every detail and every nuance of his studies. The student we have selected also has an athletic side that he puts on display on the Tennis team and the basketball league at the DAC. He also just ran the Race for ALS. He is very quiet, however, his academic performance, grit, and character scream excellence. Sometimes people overlook quiet people but I just want Marcus to keep on keeping on being the best at what he does! Congrats Marcus, it's your time to shine! #OUTSTANDINGJOB

    8th Grade

Mr. Sanders’s choice for TOTW is Bailee from team 8B. Bailee is always in class on time, starts right in on whatever project we are working on and never complains. I have noticed that she is respectful to teachers and staff and also to her fellow students. She is a student that I would count on doing a job and getting it. Congratulations on being 8th Grade Trojan of the Week!

Trojans of the Week for the week of 11-30-18

    6th Grade

Team 6C has chosen Addyson as Trojan of the Week! She has earned this honor because she has a strong work ethic by going above and beyond and turning in her very best work in all subject areas. She takes advantage of each minute that she is in school and comes to morning tutoring often. Addyson shows that she stays on top of all of her assignments because she reaches her A.M. and A.R. goals, and she made Golden Honor Roll the 1st 9 Weeks. Besides doing her best academically, she is also respectful to all teachers and peers. She is on the DMS soccer team, a member of the band, goes to Plus 1, and enjoys drawing, reading, and doing volunteer work for her community. We are so fortunate to have Addyson in our school and on Team 6C, and we are looking forward to the accomplishments that we know Addyson will be achieving in the days and years ahead. Thank you Addyson for making us so proud!!

Diligent, Determined, and Delightful are just some things that come to mind when describing 7B's Trojan of the Week. Rihanna is that and more. She is diligent in that she works so hard each and every day. Rihanna has already met both her goals in AR and AM and is continuing to work to exceed her goals. Rihanna is also determined to put her best foot forward and make sure that her work represents her best effort, often taking advantage of extra credit and seeking opportunities to make sure she understands a concept to make corrections to improve her knowledge and grades. She is a delightful student and young lady who not only works hard in class but helps her teachers and classmates. If there is a job that needs to be done, she can be trusted to do it. Her hard work shows in her grades and her participation in Student Council. We are proud to have Rihanna on our team and are glad to teach her as she continues to excel in middle school.

Team 8B proudly chooses Olivia as their Trojan of the Week. She has met her AM and AR goals and is strong academically while being very active at DMS. She is involved in Beta Club, Student Council, Plus I, and Yearbook. Her classmates describe her as being positive and humble. She is on the DMS cheer squad where she represents DMS with her outstanding demeanor. She is talented musically, as she sings in the choir and plays a variety of instruments which include the piano, guitar, and ukulele. She holds herself to a high standard which will ensure a successful future. Congratulations Olivia on this honor.
